  • When he started his career, he found an agent number in Yellowpages, and then called her promoting himself as a third person saying that he’s a great actor who’s already “big in England”. Later on he skipped school to meet up and did a stand-up comedy in front of her. She’s interested and signed him in. Three months later, he was casted for Even Stevens.
  • Was the only choice to play Mutt Williams in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
  • Dropped out a role for Dark Fields due to his left hand’s cast.
  • Steven Spielberg once said that after watching Holes, Shia reminds him of young Tom Hanks.
  • He and his bestfriend Lorenzo Eduardo directed and produced a short independent film titled Let’s Love Hate in 2004. The movie won “Children Audience Award” from Newport International Film Festival in 2005.
  • He won 2003 Daytime Emmy Awards for his role as Louis Stevens in Even Stevens.
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s script was re-written because of Shia’s left hand injury after the car crash in order to protect the hand during the shoot.
  • Shia only got two weeks off after finishing the shoots of Disturbia and before starting filming Transformers.
  • Shia used to do a stand-up “dirty comedy” in LA clubs in 11 years old.
